CEMENT PRODUCTS
Bulk cement and bagged cement is one of Ghielmimport’s traditional products.
The company has imported cement produced in Italy since the ‘70s that is currently distributed throughout the country.
Ghielmimport became the exclusive importer of Colacem products from 1994 (Portland cement, mortars and lime), to which the importation of cement supplied by other Italian producers has been added recently in order to meet the demand for increasingly specific uses.
Range of products:
- Portland grey: Cem I 52.5 R, Cem II/A-LL 42.5 R, Cem II/B-LL 32.5 R,
- Portland white: Cem I 52.5 R, Cem I 42.5 R,Cem II/B-LL 32.5 R,
- Pozzolanic cement : Cem IV/A (V) 42.5 R, Cem IV/A (P) 42.5 N, Cem IV/A (P) 32.5 R
- class “A”, class “B” type (Micro-Pozz PFA) Fly Ash
The quality of the products and the optimum logistic solutions enable an increasing penetration to be achieved on the Swiss market.
A bulk cement storage facility has been operational from 2012 in building D in the “Magazzini Generali” complex in Stabio in order to meet the domestic demand and the request for prompt delivery.
The plant is fully automated, and permits 9 different cement types to be stored and enabling the demands of Swiss customers, both in Canton Ticino and beyond the Gotthard, to be met promptly.
The plant is located close to a railway siding used exclusively and is equipped with a wagon loading system that, therefore, enables the products to be delivered by exploiting the railway network.
